My Fiesta is having issues with the Powershift gearbox - what can I do?

My 2014 Ford Fiesta has 12000 miles from new. The Powershift transmission has started to whine under acceleration and gives the feeling the clutch is slipping as the vehicle doesn't drive forwards as it used to. The local main dealer denies any knowledge of such problems and insists there has never been a recall issued for my car. I am aware that Ford have extended the warranty on these automatic boxes in both the US and Australia, but our main dealer won't admit that anything similar has happened in the UK. What can I do?

In that case the dealer is in denial. Ford has now dropped this transmission in the Fiesta because of all the trouble it has caused. The new Fiesta and new Focus now both come with torque converter autos. At the launch of the new Focus, Ford CEO Andy Barrett even admitted the Powershift problems. So basically tell him to fix the well known problem or you will have the transmission replaced elsewhere and will sue him for the full cost.
