Can I get a dash cam that will continuously record in my parked car for a month at a time?
I have a car that I use for about four consecutive days a month. The rest of the time it is garaged. I wish to get a dash cam that will retain the time and date but won't drain the battery when unused. Is there such a beast?

Hi John, I'm not sure exactly how long a battery pack would last, but that would be the best option. You could try a heavy duty one, or one like this: www.amazon.co.uk/DBPOWER-18000mAh-Portable-Emergen...b
You'd have to plug a dash cam in and see how long it would last because it's doubtful it would last a whole month. But a trickle charger on the battery, with the dash cam plugged into the 12v, would essentially just be adding an extra component through which the electricity would need to go through unnecessarily to charge the camera. Dash cams generally use very little power though, so a booster pack might be the solution.
