How do I reactivate my car key after changing the battery?

I changed the battery in my car key fob. How do I reactivate it now?

The key holds the code for 10 seconds, so you have to have the new battery out of its packet and ready before you remove the old battery. If you have a spare key, you can take both to Timpsons and get them to re-code the key with the new battery using the code in the spare key.
