Is an EV good for me if I drive 75 miles a week on motorways?
I travel almost 75 miles on motorways every week and wanted to know if buying an electric car is a good option for me? If so which electric car would you suggest and is buying new or used is better?

There are many electric cars now on the market that will comfortably handle 75 motorway miles. I'm running a Volkswagen e-Golf which I rate highly and, with a bit of restrained driving, can cover 160 miles on a charge. The Hyundai Ioniq Electric is another good choice, officially capable of 174 miles on a charge. If you'd prefer a crossover, the new Kona Electric has a range of up to 300 miles. I'd buy new - the battery technology is progressing so quickly that even a year-old EV won't be capable of travelling as far from a charge. There are some good deals to be had on new EVs too - and you can take advantage of the Government's plug-in car grant.
