I received a parking ticket with the incorrect registration on - is it still valid?

I received a PCN on my car last night. After further inspection I have noticed one of the letters is wrong in the registration. Is the PCN then invalid? I assume it will go to another registration?

Then there is a chance you will get away with it. But they usually take a photo of the car to cross check, in which case the mistake would be spotted and you would then receive an increased penalty.
