What's the best family hatch for £12,000?
My son is changing his Mazda 2 but needs a bigger boot for the impending arrival of his first child. He has seen a 2018 Hyundai i30 for £12k but is something you feel is better for the budget?

The latest Hyundai i30 is an excellent choice, especially with one of the punchy petrol engines. The Skoda Octavia is also worth a look, particularly as it has a huge boot and represents good value for money. Also consider a very reliable Honda Civic.
