Can I say I'm the main driver of a family car to make insurance cheaper for my daughter?

My daughter has received outrageous quotes to insure the old family car, a 2001 vintage 1.8 Ford Focus to drive herself. It was previously insured with her boyfriend as main driver, being 30 years old and with 10 years experience. She is 28 years old yet has less than a years experience. Am I going to be seen as attempting some sort of fraud if I take over ownership of car (again) and make myself main driver and her a second driver.

If you have another vehicle yourself and are the main driver of that, it would be fronting if you say you are the main driver of the other vehicle when it is actually your daughter.
