We bought a used car and discovered a water leak - should we return it or get it repaired?
I bought a used Fiesta EcoBoost from Evans Halshaw and after three weeks I noticed there's a 10mm gap where the windscreen meets the cowl vent. When we bought the car the manual was wet and I assumed the book had been left outside at some point. I have booked the car in to be repaired but my concern is if water has got into any of the electrics that may cause issues in the future. The car still has around 16 months warranty left. Should I demand they check that the leak hasn't caused any underlying damage? Also if I'm not happy with the repair am I allowed to reject the car and demand my money back?

I'd just reject the car because they should not have sold it to you in this state in the first place and you cannot reasonably be expected to keep bringing it back to them when further problems occur as a result of the fault. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
