It depends how stripped out the police spec was, how much damage was left by removing police equipment and, of course, on the mileage. Though the cars are well maintained, police fleet managers know from experience when it's best to offload the cars before the problems start. But now that police cars are 'wrapped' in their police livery they aren't necessarily white and the wrapping will have protected the paintwork.
