Is the Ford Powershift gearbox reliable?

I have conflicting information concerning the Mondeo Powershift gearbox. On the one hand I have read that the gearbox is unreliable and on the other hand, that all will be well if the gearbox oil is changed at the right interval. Could you please advise?

If the transmission oil and filter are replaced every three years or every 38,000 miles, whichever comes first, then wet clutch Powershifts are relatively reliable. The rumours of unreliability come because the transmission oil and filter has not been replaced because of the cost. Some Ford dealers charge £400 to do it. Should be about £200.

I drive a 2012 Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI with the Powershift gearbox. When I am driving at around 40-50 mph, the engine revs fluctuate up and down probably 1-200 revs, it feels like clutch slip! Any ideas please?
