Is an automatic car more expensive to insure than a manual?

I'm looking at buying a car but when I put the details on the insurance website it states it's an automatic but it's a manual. Will it affect my insurance?

Yes, it will. Phone rather than try to arrange a policy online when dealing with insurers. Automatics are generally more expensive to insure.
