My wife has been accused of failing to stop at the scene of an accident but it never happened?
My wife has been accused of failing to stop at the scene of an accident. She is hysterical, says it never happened and there is no damage to our vehicle. We can produce shopping receipts with times either side of the alleged incident that put her in another town. I'm confident this will disprove the claim, but can the accusing party come back and just choose another time or date?

Contact the police/CPS and request the evidence they seek to rely on in court that an incident has occurred. Advise that no incident has occurred and you believe this is a vexatious claim without merit. Then provide the receipts. It sounds like a case of mistaken identity.
