Reasonably priced star
I am following a Dec 2005, Merc 320CDI estate, auto on eBay. This has a full MB dealer history fully documented, two professional owners and despite the high mileage of 181,000 really looks like new in the photos. All the standard spec, silver, with the addition of Command sat nav. Apparently had a recent service 2,000 miles ago with new torque converter. Again the owner states that replacement of the torque convertor is a fairly standard item for this car. What’s the highest I should pay - as per eBay there is an undisclosed reserve but the owner has hinted that it is much less than £10k. I think its worth around £6,500? How would this sit in the trade with Glasses? Can you offer me any of your usual excellent advice?

Only books to 150k miles, at £7,275. So £6,000 - £6,500 is about right. The torque converter fails because the transmission heat exchanger inside the radiator fails. Check the electrics and the particularly the partly electronic braking.
