Third Reich, second left
In January I bought a 2009 SLK 280 and traded in my 9 year old SLK230. Fortunately, I kept my old TomTom as the in car satnav is virtually useless. It cannot accept many post codes, including my own and its route planning defies logic. The only improvement on my TomTom is that the screen is visible when the sun shines, which is not a lot of help in the circumstances. The dealer has no answer except to tell me that the sat nav was updated during the pre sale service - but it does work better in Germany. How do other Mercedes drivers get on - or do they just leave navigation to their wives or chauffeurs?

Yes, this is typical of 'German' satnav. The programmers seem to take the view that what is good for Germany should be good for the rest of the world.
