I bought a Hyundai i10 on 1st September last year. The reason I bought it was the praise attributed by the motoring press, particularly yourself. On the whole I agree with the accolades. However, I have kept a record of the fuel consumption, which is about 35mpg. Initially I forgave this low figure due to the car needing to be run in, but it has continued. The car has now covered 2,367 miles. When it reached 2,000 miles I took it back to the dealership. They kept the car for a day. On collection was told that there was no fault, as the diagnostics did not show any. I don't know about the depth of the diagnostics or if it included engine, transmission and brakes. I was given a lecture on fuel consumption and the effect of driving style. I told the service manager about the brake problem with this car. He dismissed this and appeared to know nothing about it. I am desperately in need of help. I don't know what to do next.
