I'm planning to order one of these cars soon but not sure which one is better in terms of long term ownership. We've always owned petrol cars so I'm inclined toward the 3.2 TFSI, but I'm open to the idea of a diesel if it's clearly the better choice for our Indian conditions.

I ride a max of 15k a year, mostly in the city, 99% of the time self driven. I plan to keep this car for a while, five or more years.

I haven't test driven either car because the dealership doesn't have any demo vehicles.
