Delayed delivery of Jetta

On June 9th, 2011, I enquired about purchase of a new Jetta. A couple of weeks later I found a demo Jetta at the same dealer and took a test drive. This then became the subject of purchase and a VW finance package was arranged.
On the day I was supposed to pick up the car from the dealer (50 miles away) they attempted to contact me but I was on the road and did not receive a message to say they had found a wiring fault. That was over ten days ago and the car is still not available although they did provide me with another demo to drive while the repair was completed. Just thinking about this situation now, it seems suspicious that a replacement wiring loom would take so long to obtain and fit.
Could you please offer any advice?

Nothing to be suspicious about. It has to come from Mexico where the car is built.
