Buying a family car
Our Nissan X-Trail (02) may be on the way out. We have 2 children and a dog and live in the Brecon Beacons. We need a good reliable car that does more mpg than our current X-Trail Sport. We need something that will cope with a steep narrow road to our house in all weathers. I dont really think we need a 4x4 but it has been useful in the snow. We would like to keep our motoring costs as low as possible. Our budget is around £6,000. Good ground clearence would help also. Our annual mileage is about 13,000, mostly school runs and shopping trips. Not sure if a diesel would work out best or if we would have problems with DPF.
