To claim or not to claim?
I pulled out of a carpark and bumped the wing of a passing car. Their damage is slight and they do not wish to claim, but I have already reported it to my insurer and am awaiting an estimate for the work to the bent front bumper and grille of my Honda Jazz.
The other party want us to pay privately for their repair, I don't want to pay twice for one accident but will it stop them incurring extra premiums due to a claim? What is the correct way to go? I have not admitted liability but it was my fault.

You will both get hit with increased premiums next year because you were both involved in a claim. That's why the other guy did not want insurance involved.
