Fault from new with Santa Fe cruise control

Bought this new from a via AutoEbid around June 2010. Dealer was very helpful. However Cruise Control operation was intermittant.

This was traced via forums to a software issue around the clutch switch. Hyundai UK have admitted that there is an inherent fault but are getting no joy re a fix from Hyundai Korea. Dealer cannot do anything as he is not an authorised Hyundai dealer. It has been over 12 months now and I am being told to be patient. What should I do?

Putting pressure on the delaer will achevie nothing as they cant fix it until Hyundai have a fix from Korea. Hyundai UK say they can do nothing either. This appears to be an inherent design fault in the car from what I have been told.

I don't know. The only action you can legally take is against the supplier of the car. This problem seems to have spread to the KIA Sportage and Hyundai ix35.
