Peugeot 307 central locking failure

Can anyone help. My Peugeot 307 appears to be unlocking itself over night. I always press the lock button on my key twice so that it dead locks, and sometimes when I come to use the car in the morning it's unlocked.

Moisture in the locking ECU inside the drivers door.

As the new Mondeos do not need a key to start, only a fob, if the fob is outside the car will it still start? I believe some people found that it does, others that it does not.
The central locking on my Vauxhall Meriva isn't working. I turn the key once to unlock the drivers door and twice to unlock the back and passenger doors, however only the driver's door will actually open....
