Retiring - do I keep my current car?
I have owned a 56 plate Seat Leon 2.0 TDI Stylance Petrol Manual since Sep 2008 and current mileage is just under 60k. No problems experienced.
I currently do about 14k a year including business mileage. However I am retiring from the end of the month and anticipate that dropping to about 8 to 10k.
My question is whether to change to a smaller petrol model. I will still do a long trip i.e. 200 miles about every 2 weeks. The cam belt and tensioners plus water pump and belt was changed at 40k. I think it is too early to suffer from the dreaded DPF.
As I like the car and drive my gut feeling is to retain it for another 2 to 3 years but would appreciate your opinion.
