Trading in my old car for a new one, what should I get?
I have a 3 year old Clio 1.2 3-door. I finish paying for it in April.
I think I should trade in for new. I want similar size car but with better fuel economy (currently avg 36mpg) and cheap/no tax (currently £110).
I dont carry passengers but want large boot/rear interior as I need to be able to get camping gear and sack barrow into boot (for music festivals!). I want reliability, safety, good brakes and lights (as per Clio).
I do short daily run to work, but travel for camping etc so needs to be good on motorways as well as muddy tracks. Was thinking along the lines of Seat Ibiza, Citroen Piccasso, maybe a Skoda.
Do you have better suggestions? I'm not sure how much I could get for my Clio, its in good condition, done 18,000 miles. £11,000 would be around top limit for new car. Do I stand a chance!?
