How do 'green' electric cars generate heat for their occupants?
Another aspect of heating battery driven cars (apart from battery capacity mentioned in your column) is that it is energy that would have to be generated somewhere whereas in a petrol/diesel car it is only waste heat that is being used. So much for 'green' credentials.

Excellent point. The energy is probably generated at a coal fired power station such as Ferrybridge.
