Should I use diesel fuel that has been stored for four years?
I always keep a couple of gallons of diesel as a stand by, but have not used it for about four years. Can I use it now or is there a limited time before it deteriorates?

Try pouring some out into a can through an old pair of nylon tights. Any globules of fat in it is emulsified diesel that will block the pipes to the engine and the fuel filter. In that case, dispose of it via the council recycling facility.
