Why don't they make sure that all the batteries, in every electric car, are the same and all easily removable and replaceable (maybe in a large sliding tray underneath.) Motorway service stations and garages on large main roads could have special equipment that the car could drive onto. Batteries could be changed in 5 minutes for a price. The batteries removed could be charged at the garage and put into someone else's car. Thereby getting rid of the problem of range and time to recharge.
