Where can I get an agreed value insurance policy for my 12-year-old Mazda MX-5 Limited Edition?
I have a 12-year-old Mazda MX-5 Limited Edition, one of only 300 made and in excellent condition. Value? It is currently insured with NFU with Protected No-Claims - renewal just received is £516.84. I only do about 1,500 miles a year in it and it is garaged. I am aware though of the good reputation of NFU. Should I get a cheaper quote? I am also wondering if it would be better on a classic car insurance. Any advice please, and any insurer you would recommend?

Time to check out an agreed value classic policy with one of these: www.classicowners.co.uk or www.footmanjames.co.uk or www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk or www.theopenroad.co.uk . To get an agreed value you will have to join the club and get it valued by the club: www.mx5oc.co.uk (JB later emailed to tell me he has insured with Hagerty on a classic car policy for £209pa.)
