Do you find bright daytime running lights to be a distraction?
I am concerned that BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Ford appear to compete with each other to see who has the biggest and brightest daylight running lights. I find this very distracting at the moment when there are only a few around but dread the day when all cars have them. Do you have a view on the matter?

When they are properly installed, Daytime Running Lights are a good thing, such as the Fiat 500's separate round lights, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche's below bumper level, or Citroen's, vertical on flanks. But when they are badly or fancifully installed, especially inside the headlight unit, they are not good at all. One LED failure in a headlight unit could cost you £500 for a whole new headlight unit. At least the LEDs in Jaguar ‘J blade’ DRLs dim when the indicators are flashing so the indicators are not obscured.
