Slotting in
Reading the options in the BMW F10 5-Series brochure (which include 4 wheel steering), I came upon Park Assist. At low speeds, this feature measures any parallel parking space then if the car is put into reverse ahead of the space, the driver uses only the throttle and the brake while the car parks itself. I thought that maybe this had escaped from the BMW April 1 Joke Book, but if it is for real, have you any experience of this scary device?

Yes, Mercedes had it first in the S Class, then VW, then Ford. It works. Video of it in operation here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-c-max-20...o
