A Mazda’s degree

A Mazda dealer has offered me the following that I will view next week: Ex-demonstrator Mazda 5 1.6 Diesel, TS2 on 16” wheels, 3,500 miles on the clock, for £16,995. Is it worth considering, as a new one is £20,655? What should I ask for in part-exchange for my 2.0 diesel Titanium S-Max (Jan 2007), with 42,000 on the clock?

Snap it up. I'm running one. Now 5,000 miles. Very good. Extremely comfortable. Excellent ride quality. And handles well with brilliant steering feedback. Only about 46mpg, though. Trade price for your S-Max is £8,700.
