Sell or keep an A-Class?
We purchased our A-Class two and a half years ago for £4000.
It had 30,000 miles on the clock and 1 elderly owner, all the service history was there and it looked immaculate, its the long wheel base version, so we went ahead. Since then we have spent over £5,000 on it; gear box problem, new petrol tank, heat exchanger, starter motor etc.
Our dilema is, each time we have spent money on it we're not sure what to do, should we hang on to it to get our money's worth or sell it and get something more straight forward in terms of parts and labour.

My advice over the original A Class has been not to buy one and if you have one get rid of it asap, for the sort of reasons you describe. No small car is as deep a money pit.
