Sold an ex-paramedics car

I bought a Volkswagen Touran from an Arnold Clark superstore over a year ago. The car has had many problems during my ownership the most recent being a failed DSG box. Luckily I'd bought a warranty from my local VW dealer which has covered this (£5,000) however it now transpires the car was previously a paramedics car and has therefore had a much harder life in it's 65k miles than had been advised. The previous owner was listed as Arnold Clark Finance. I do not wish to return the car as I've spent money servicing it etc which I do not think I will see back. Arnold Clark are offering £600 in full and final settlement - or to take the car back less my usage what would you advise? It is now running fine and I have one more year to run on the warranty.

They weren't obliged to tell you it had been used by Paramedics unless you asked. But if you are happy with the way the car is now running you might as well take the offer. After all, it has a new DSG box.
