Rumbling Freelander
I have a 59 plate Freelander 2 fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Zero 235/60 R18/103V Tyres. The car has done 21,500 miles and the near back wheel has developed a rumbling noise over about 50 mph.
My dealer says that this tyre has worn unevenly around the inside of the rim and a local tyre dealer has confirmed this. What would cause this?
I am now faced with replacing probably all four tyres. What tyres would you recommend to avoid this happening again and giving me longer tyre life.

A braking imbalance.
With a part time 4WD it's always a good idea to rotate the tyres to even out the wear as this does not confuse the sensors that engage the 4wd system as a disparity between the tyres sometimes would.
