What does the warning light on my Fiesta mean?

I have a 2002 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Tdci - I was driving along and all of a sudden I had power loss and a warning light on the instrument cluster, reading E.A.C Fail.

The car would not drive over 30mph, and the oil light came on and off few times as well. I pulled over and switched the vehicle off.

Ten minutes later I attempted to start the vehicle and the fault had cleared up.

It sounds as though one of your sensors is faulty,(engine going into limp mode) it could be one of many - Oxygen sensor, Engine coolant temp sensor, etc.

Best thing would be to have a diagnostic check carried out which should then show up a fault code ie P---- 4 numbers this can then be related to the actual fault.
