Inform insurer of minor damage?

I live in a semi-detached house with adjacent intregal garages and a shared, open double drive. I had a minor scrape with my neighbour's car which was badly parked on the drive.

Question: would the Insurance companies get involved in this matter? I have offered to pay for the damage on receipt of three quotes.

Difficult. If the insurer takes any record of this and you do not disclose it, that will be held against you. So you and the neighbour have to absolutely agree not to tell either of your insurers.
