Wet smell in Peugeot 306 after rain. What's causing it?
In the last couple of months I've been smelling rancid wet carpet in my 1998 Peugeot 306 after a rainy day.
Where should I be looking to find the source of the water?

Either coming in through the scuttle air intake because the vent well drains are blocked, or coming in through the doors because the plastic waterproof membranes inside them have perforated.
