Damage from freak hailstorm
Following the freak storms we had earlier in the week, my car has suffered quite significant hailstone damage. Every panel on the car is dented, some obvious, some only visible at certain angles, I would estimate there are 200 dents in total. I'm absolutely devastated, as I really look after my car and it was absolutely perfect condition, not even a swirl in the paint!
I have contacted my insurance company, who have arranged to collect the car for repair. I'm not an expert, but I think there would need to be a miracle for the car to be repaired to the condition it was previously. Could you give me any advice on how I should proceed with the insurance company and the repair?

They might write off a 2004. So up to you to decide whether to keep it and drive a dented car you know, or accept the write off value minus your excess. Whatever you do, don't get conned into a credit hire 'courtesy car' that you might eventually have to pay for yourself.
