Which BMW 5 series or alternative?
I'm interested in a BMW 5 series (petrol engine) but am confused by the new engine sizes/power outputs, wheel size and possible options such as variable damper control - what is the ideal set-up and are there any alternatives to the BMW 5 series you'd recommend?

There are some seriously quick 5-Series diesel and petrol models. We tested two here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-5-series-f.../
But I prefer the Jaguar XF. New 375PS turbo V6 on the way for that to (sadly) replace the wonderful V8.
