Comparison of diesel automatic gearboxes

Are there known problems with the clutch and gearboxes of these two different systems (X-Trail and Outlander)?

How does the TC-SST function compared with a traditional automatic gearbox?

The current X Trail has a conventional 6 speed torque converter automatic box. The Mitsubishi system is a twin clutch type, like a DSG or Powershift.
