My Corsa has a cam belt and should have a chain?

I am considering buying an 02 CORSA 1.2 sxi with 70000 miles. Surprisingly, it has a timing BELT - not chain. I can find no reference to such a fitting on a CORSA of that vintage. How come?

Can't have unless it's a 1.4. If it's a 1.4 it will have.
