X-trail cuts out when hot and won't restart untill totally cold

We have a 2002 2.5-litre petrol Nissan X-Trail. The first sign of an issue was the 'check engine light' coming on every now and then. The problem has now escalated to starting fine first thing; running for about 10 minutes; then cutting out - and it won't restart until completely cold...

Well firstly check the air intake /vacuum system for any leaks.
After that check the ECT ( engine coolant temp) sensor
Then the IAC ( intake air temp) sensor
Then the H02S(heated oxygen )sensor
Then the TP (throttle position ) sensor
Then the MAF ( mass air flow )sensor.
