Ecoboost or TSI?

I would like to buy a Volvo V40, Ford Focus or Seat Leon but wonder which model has the better engine (reliability, consumption, power)? As I want decent performance for reasonable money, I'm considering a 1.6-litre Ecoboost with 150bhp or a TSI with 122bhp.

I drive about 10,000 miles per year.

EcoBoosts are belt cam. 1.2 and 1.4 TSIs are chain. TSIs have been around a lot longer, numbers sold have been much greater and there has been some trouble. Far fewer EcoBoosts sold and no trouble so far. EcoBoosts are very efficient. We've seen mid 40s mpg from a Mondeo Estate 1.6 Ecoboost, same as from a Golf Mk VII 1.2TSI 105.
