Downsizing from Citroen Picasso, recommendations needed

We acted on your advice when we bought our Citroen Picasso and have been very happy with it, but 175000 miles later it needs replacing. We do about 18000 miles a year, lots on country roads, motorways and the whole gamut in between. We're looking for almost new, where comfort, space, reliability and fuel consumption are our key needs, but are also interested in the benefits of hybrid vehicles.

Nothing really replaced the Xsara Picasso. The C4 Picasso 5 seater is not as good. If you want a hybrid MPV, there is now the Toyota Prius + : www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/toyota/toyota-priu.../ Or, smaller, the Yaris hybrid or Honda Jazz hybrid.
