Jumping out of 1st gear - why?
Can you advise the likely cause of my car 'jumping' out of 1st gear when moving please? I have just bought it with 12 months MOT and something is not right! It has done 91k miles.

Gearbox problem requiring a transmission rebuild. A gear cluster has slipped down a shaft.
