Thanks for recommending Event Tyres, who fitted Michelin Alpins to my car.
In response to your articles about winter tyres, I contacted Event Tyres and have now been fitted with a set of Michelin 205/55 R16 91H Alpins. Your correspondent MY, Poole has the same car as myself so I can assure him that your suggestion is spot on. These tyres are much quieter than the Bridgestone original fit. The service from www.event-tyres.co.uk was superb. Thanks for the advice.

Many thanks for the affirmation about Event Tyres. I too prefer the Alpins on my car to its usual Michelin Energy tyres.
