I went to tax my car yesterday at a Post Office, and was told that they could not check my insurance and MoT because the post office could not afford online facilities. How bloody ridiculous. The police can check in seconds from a police car if your car is legitimate. Is this a case of no money in it for the government? So let the peasants bring in all the documents, and stand in a line. I tried to tax the car online, from home, and it was refused on the grounds that my MoT was not a computerised one. I was told to go to a Post Office to obtain the tax. Now I have to wait for my folks, to send my documents from Wallasey, where they live. I spend so much time abroad, I feel safer with my driving documents held by my parents. Why does the public have to be inconvenienced in this way?
