New tyres for Ford Focus - which are best?
My 2010 five door Ford Focus Titanium diesel gets through a pair of tyres on average every 12,000 miles. The car was brought from new and came fitted with 235/40 R18 tyres on 18-inch bling alloy rims. I’m currently running on Goodyear Eagles. Any suggestions for the next replacement?

That's why it was originally fitted with the 40 profile blingers - so you have to replace them at great expense every 12,000 miles. 16-inch or 17-inch tyres will last much longer, be more comfortable to ride on and be cheaper to replace. If you stick to the same size, Ford currently favours Goodyear Eagles on the Focus ST250 but Michelin Primacy 3 or Pilot Sport 3 would probably last longer.
