Thanks for your advice suggesting that insurance companies should be negotiated with over premiums.
Further to your (always) good advice I would endorse your comments about insurance companies being prepared to negotiate. Indeed, I would go a stage further and take the initiative. When any of my insurance covers require renewal I tell my existing insurer how much I am prepared to pay. In two cases I have had a year-on-year reduction as a result of my 'cheek'. I, and many of my friends cannot speak more highly of the common sense that you dispense.

That is now the way of the world and not the old way when everyone in the UK (probably wrongly) thought that every large organisation they bought from could be trusted.
