Risky business

I added my wife's name to my car insurance policy, which was thus reduced by £23 and increased the mileage limit from 6,000pa to 10,000pa. I'm retired, my wife will use the car daily in her job as a home carer. How can my insurance company think that substantially increasing the annual mileage represents less of a risk?

Statistically, couples represent a lower underwriting risk than singles.
