I have been looking at a 2004 Skoda Octavia Superb 1.9-litre diesel automatic. It has 90,000 miles on the clock. The original owner appears to have been a Skoda executive, since when there have been two owners. The car seems to be in very good condition. The only fault I can find with it is heavy wear on the front tyres and there is a lot of weight over the front wheels. The person selling the car says he is a dealer, but with premises about 100 miles away. When I asked about a warranty he said the price of £3945 did not include one, but he said he could include one for an extra £150. I'm told that there is a full service history although so far I've seen no paperwork. I like the car, but I'm a bit wary of the method of sale and in view of your recent comments on diesel engines I would appreciate your advice.
